JOURNEY #1

Long ago around 2008 or 2009 as somewhat felt impressed to write a book– nonfiction–a book on “Bones”. 

 I continually postponed it– a nice word for procrastination until it was no longer on my mind. 😞   BUT the idea of writing a blog or book or website, etc. continued to press on my mind but this time regarding my journeys through life as God has led.  

Our first journey began while we were living in Bakersfield, California.

 In the year 2003 my family and I were living south of town in Bakersfield very close to a field where planes flew over spraying the crops.

                    With a husband and small child with breathing problems , we decided to move away.  After searching different areas with no results God dropped ONE WORD into my spirit, which was the word “GRANITE”.   At that time my husband and I only knew of a Granite Road.  Accordingly, one Saturday we took a day long journey on this very long road and only found million-dollar estates, which was way out of our league! 😯

We returned back to our home on Snowbird Street and then one fine day our adult daughter phoned📞 to tell us that her Auntie was selling her house.  

Since hubby knew where his ex-sister-in-law lived, without having a physical address, we headed over (by invitation), even though it was 10:00 o’clock at night. As we rounded the corner, our headlights flashed on the street sign.

                    I shouted, “Look honey, it says “Granite!”  –>   WOW!  😲🫨

The very next day we signed papers  and became the NEW OWNERS of the house on Granite Street —not Granite Road. This was number ONE of three specific journeys that God led us on.
